PadSync Synth Proto

mike's picture

Just fooling around with some new presets I made and the modular, not finsihed.

Creator - Michael Schmalle

Vendor - Teoti Graphix, LLC

The Driver controls the two PCMs and the Driver is actually an Acid synth. The two PCMSynths are my own looping presets, the first is connected to the bottom filter.

This is hack and not finished but I was just testing somethings for future. Also, the pad is only connected through notes not audio, still working on a proper stereo connection for a filter, unfortunatly it's mono.

Wow that sounds awesome. I only auditioned it in guide so far but it reminds me of sounds you'd hear in an 80's movie.

Yeah I have to spend more

Comment:

Yeah I have to spend more time with the modular and come up with some presets that I can bolt some of my sampled sounds in that gives some ADSR and Filter control through the modular.

The problem I see is that my stuff is full stereo and getting a filter on a machine input that is stereo seem impossible. Anybody know how?

Comment:

BTW for anybody looking, that Octaver is a MultiFilter and I need to fix the sites rendering, loading this Group up in Guide will produce a multifilter effect in slot 2.

Ok, nice, I have been programming for years and never really spent a lot of time wiring the modular.

Here's the lead pad running

Comment:

Here's the lead pad running through a stereo band pass filter(s).
If you mix, in equal proportions, the output and inverted output of a DADSR envelope, the result is a constant control signal. And you can control the depth of that signal with the mixer output, which you can feed into anything that has a control input. This can, of course, lead to proper insanity.
But here, it's just two state variables. Below the EG are two mixers. The left output will control cutoff. The right output, resonance.
The oscilloscope is showing the cutoff mixer output. If you play with the EG controls, nothing will happen there, so you can do what you like with this envelope. Run it's output into the cutoff mixer mod input, for example :) Or set it up as the decay envelope in 'Driver'.
There's a few more fun things here.

Huh, interesting stuff. I never would have thought using it that way.

I will have to mess around with it some more.
